Over the last year I have struggled creatively and sort of fell into a basic mold when it came to my social channels. I use to love writing and creating content for my blog/Instagram, but after a year of being out in the real world, working full time, and trying to pursue my dream of modeling on the side, my social media game fell to the sidelines. I grew up a lot over the last two years, learning what the term “adulting” really means. How to files my taxes, paying bills, getting health insurance, moving to Miami, Fl, I have focused most of my time and energy on those things. Now that I’ve learned how to balance my life a little (still have no idea really), I have figured out a schedule to were I can start being creative and active on social media again.
I started this journey of wanting to be a blogger/model almost 7 years ago and it is still 100% my goal and passion. I love creating story boards, coming up with photoshoot concepts, styling looks, making videos, and really just engaging with others on the “WORLD WIDE WEB!” That being said, I am excited to announce a new series that will be showcased every couple of weeks on my blog and Instagram.
I will be doing color series to explain how I see the world in that specific color. I always struggled with having that ideal feed/aesthetic that every social influencer strives for because if I took a dope picture I wanted to be able to post it right away, which in turn made my feed a straight up jumbled mess (story of my life).
I came up with this concept because it will force me to look at the world in a different way, as well as learning to stay consistent on my feed. The color schemes will change from time to time, but I definitely had to start with pink because it was always the color that I felt associated with my personality the most.
I grew being more of a tom boy and loved to be outside, but I was the tom boy that LOVED the color pink! I was obsessed with Elle Woods and was inspired by her at a young age. Elle showed me that I could be this bad ass women, that didn't play by the rules, who had great style and presented herself in a unique and authentic way. I even had a specific ALL PINK outfit that I use to wear to school every week . It was a pink sparkly shirt, pale pink skirt with a matching pink beret and puffy pink earrings! This color has always held a special place in my heart that holds a lot of memories. So without further ado, I present “The Pink Series.”
