Here it is! I have been trying to film a “get ready with me” makeup tutorial for years now and TODAY IS THE DAY! I wanted this video to be easy to replicate and showcase the products I truly can’t live without. I realized in the middle of filming this tutorial that I use sooooo many products from Estee Lauder. I am in no way, shape or form an influencer for Estee Lauder, or any of the brands I used for that matter, I just truly love the way their products feel and work.
I tend to go for a natural/effortless makeup look on a day to day basis. I added eye shadow in the mix, which I normally don’t wear, just to give you guys a little more in depth tutorial. I have listed all the products below with links to help with purchasing.
Although I linked most of my products to sites like Sephora and Ulta, I strongly urge my followers to shop for their makeup at retail stores like Dillard’s, Macy’s or Nordstrom’s just to name a few. I notice when I shop for makeup at Sephora or Ulta the associates aren’t as knowledgable about the products they are trying to sell. Not to say the employees at Sephora and Ulta aren’t smart, or good at applying makeup, but ever since I saw the training process my sister went to become an Estee Lauder counter manager at Dillard’s, I realized that’s what sets those department stores apart, simple product knowledge. I can’t speak for Macy’s or Nordstrom’s, but I know Dillard’s allows their cosmetic department employees go to multiple training sessions a year to gain insight on new products and tips on how to sell the right merchandise to the right consumer. I can’t tell you how many times I have walked into Sephora and had to 1. Ask for help finding a product, 2. Ask to get color matched and it take an hour because there’s a line of people waiting to get matched as well, 3. Ask about a specific product (i.e. the benefits and what it does) and have the associate no nothing about it….
Again, this isn’t every Sephora or Ulta employee, but since it’s my blog and I can write about whatever I want, I want to be honest and tell you guys my experiences to hopefully help someone in the long run. Anyways, I am rambling now, but I hope this video, and blog post helps y’all find new products to try out and enjoy! #walkthiswray
