This past week I was introduced to an amazing, young, up and coming photographer named Rachel Shoppy. When Rachel reached out to me to possibly set up a photoshoot in the future, I looked at her website and was absolutely taken back. At only 19, she has already developed a brand and name for herself in the NWA area.
Rachel's photography focuses on intricate posing, lighting and a persons natural beauty. When we discussed possible locations for our shoot we finally decided on the Bentonville square area, which is super quaint and dear to my heart. We also decided that our looks for the shoot were going to be grungy and have a "street" flare to them.
Everything in this shoot was from Zara and shoes were from Forever 21. I loved this shoot because it was different from anything I have ever done. I usually do shoots that are all about laughing and having fun, but this shoot was a complete 180.
We discussed poses and photographs that we wanted to recreate (like the famous Kate Moss 90's cigarette grunge photo), but once we started everything seemed to just flow. Rachel made my feel super comfortable and had so many great ideas to contribute to this photo shoot. So check out our shoot that showcases our take on streetwear grunge.
