Every year girls struggle to find the perfect shade of razorback red lipstick, the cutest hog outfit on the market, and of course comfortable shoes that don't destroy your feet after a long day of tailgating. That's why I have created the perfect gameday look and guidelines to help everyone get through another amazing razorback season.
This year I am pairing up with Savoir Faire, a local Fayetteville boutique, to create all of my gameday looks. Since it's my senior year I am pretty much over wearing uncomfortable high heels and tight dresses to every game, but I still want to look my best. I decided to go with a romper this time around. These are great because they are dressier than a simple top and jean shorts, but you don't have to worry about the wind blowing them up like a dress either. I absolutely loved the red floral detail that this romper had as well as the cute tied knot in the front. The romper also has adjustable straps since the garment is lower in the front and some girls need some extra support.
The shoes I paired with this outfit were simple black strappy sandals that have a tiny little heel. That way you feel like you're more dressed up, but at the same time you can bare the Fayetteville hills. And what is a razorback outfit without the perfect shade of red lipstick am I right? I have always had the worst experiences with finding the right red that will stay on all day through eating delicious tailgate food. This year I bought the Two Faced Melted Matte collection in the shade "Lady Balls (6D1)". This liquifying long wear lipstick literally won't come off of your mouth. I tried it on right after I got it and ate dinner, had two glasses of wine and still had trouble getting it off that night with makeup remover. The one thing I dislike about this lip stain is the fact that it is so difficult to get off, but I guess that would defeat the whole point.
Savoir Faire really is the perfect place to get your gameday looks because they have so many options. Basically half of their store is either using the colors black, white, or red, so fear not Razorback fans. Plus, they some fabulous accessories that you can pair with your outfits. I wore a small laced choker with my look to add some flare to my outfit.
Some tips I want to give to upcoming freshman that read my blog, or girls that are going to their first hog game, please stay hydrated. Guys will try and pressure you to drink more than you can handle at the games, so remember that it's a marathon not a sprint. Staying hydrated and eating throughout the game is key. Also, don't feel like you have to dress up in high heels and a body con dress, remember that it's just a college football game and you will most likely want to be comfortable instead. Guys wear shorts and t-shirts, so don't feel obligated to get too dressed up.
That being said, I hope this blog taught you some inside tips and tricks on how to survive a hog game and how to look good doing it!
