Almost 4 years ago I walked into Violet's boutique in Fayetteville and looked around for the perfect Senior Picture's dress. It took me about 15 seconds until I saw that big blue vintage Alice in Wonderland looking dress and I knew that was the one. I had been on the lookout for something really special to take my senior portraits in because I really wanted to stand out. Luckily one of my closest friends, Kristen Grisham, had just started her photography business and needed a dummy to take pictures of to build up her portfolio. Four years later and I am still her model dummy and I wouldn't change it for the world. A few months ago Kristen and I met up with a ton of awesome local photographers and models to have a huge MEGA shoot an an old abandoned mansion in Arkansas. After this shoot we were reminiscing about how we should "redo" my senior portrait photo, because lets face it people my face and modeling skills have definitely changed and so has Kristen's photography. Kristen has also been super creative and good a taking photos but this past year I really noticed her skills developing at a rapid rate. I use to be able to just call her up and ask her if she wanted to do a shoot, but now she is totally booked with engagement shoots, wedding ceremonies, senior portraits and even some fun fashion based photography. I think what I love most about Kristen is her patience in others. She started photographing me at age 16 and my modeling skills were a hot mess. I honestly give her so much credit to how far I have come in the last few years. She gave me so much confidence to pursue my dream of modeling, as well as giving me fabulous artwork to show off on my blog and Instagram page. I wouldn't have nearly as many followers if she didn't give me KILLER photos to work with. That being said I wanted to share a pic-stitch of my senior picture that was taken the summer before my senior year vs. a couple weeks ago, which is me right before the end of my junior year in college. Let's just say that I realized harsh eye shadow wasn't a must and that eyebrows were ha!
