Walk This Wray

First Day

Reagan Wray

Today was the first day of my summer internship at Skye on the Town. During this summer I will be working as a social media/marketing coordinator for the boutique to help boost sales and revenue. My first day of work was jam packed and I couldn't be happier about it. I learned the ropes of the cash wrap, customer service, visual merchandising and our online business. I will be working closely with application such as Lightroom, Photoshop and Shopify, so I got a crash course in how to use those apps today.

Overall, I am super excited to be working with such an amazing company that completely fits my personal style. Be on the lookout for a future blog page on their website called Styled by Skye. This will be my internship project for the summer.

wONEderful One-Piece Swimsuits

Reagan Wray

When it came to shopping for swimsuits I was always fairly basic when buying. I would stick to the basic trends, colors and styles and never really branched out. I had countless triangle bikini's that seemed to make me look like every other girl.

Well, not this year ladies and gents. I've decided to step into the one-piece category. One-pieces have a bad stereo-type of being the "granny" suits to by. But after shopping at Skye on the Town this past weekend my mind is made up, I LOVE ONE-PIECES!!! I absolutely loved how sexy this one-piece made me feel. I already am a huge fan of the color black, so I was already hooked when I saw these two suits on the racks.

One piece of advice to all you girls looking to possibly invest in a nice one-piece bathing suit, make sure to try it on. One-pieces can be tricky when it comes to sizing, so make sure you try on a few to get a good idea of what your size really is.

Memorial Day Extravaganza

Reagan Wray

It's officially summer y'all and I couldn't be more excited!!! This past weekend I enjoyed a relaxing weekend with my boyfriend and some of my best friends. The first two days were spent on Beaver Lake in Arkansas. My friend Peyton has a sick boat and was nice enough to invite us aboard for a couple of days. My day was spent watching the boys wakeboard and getting a nice tan. At night we took to Eureka Springs night life and had some fantastic food. Eureka Springs is a hidden gem in Arkansas. It is the most quaint town with really interesting shops as well as a cool local vibe. My boyfriend's family owns a shop downtown so it's always fun visiting Eureka Springs. All in all, I really couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Until next time...

T3 Micro Whirl Trio

Reagan Wray

This past weekend I finally received my long anticipated T3 Micro Whirl Trio Set. I have seen this brand at Sephora the last couple of times I have gone in and loved the simple concept and design of these products. I also really liked how the products were white with rose gold accents which goes PERFECT with my design aesthetic in my bathroom.

The great thing about the curling wand set is that it comes with three interchangeable barrel sizes that are great for whatever curing style you're trying to achieve. I usually use the biggest barrel to create my signature beach waves, but the other two barrels are great if you have thicker hair and need to create a tighter curl that will hold longer. This product is also one of their award winners achieving the Allure Best of Beauty Award in 2016.

If you head on over to their website they are currently having a promotion for their curling wand set featured in the photo above. You can buy this product in installments as low as $24.00 a month, plus when you sign up on the site you will receive an extra 10% off all purchases.

My goal is to have all of their products at some point to keep my bathroom looking similar. I use to always put my curling iron and blow dryer in my cabinet below my bathroom sink because I hated the way they looked, but with my T3 Micro products I want everyone to see how beautiful my hair accessories are. Shop this fabulous product featuring the link in my blog post as well as the one posted below!

Spring Fever

Reagan Wray

A lot of people have the misconception that you can't wear pants or sweaters in the spring. I think this look is perfect for those that get a little chilly on spring nights when the weather hasn't fully changed to be 90 degrees everyday. This outfit easy perfect for a date-night with your boy. This sweater is oversized which showcases the sexy bralette that will keep bae swooning all night. Also, the chunky heels are super comfy and easy to walk in, so if you're clumsy like me then these will be the perfect fit!

Pretty in Pink

Reagan Wray

One of the biggest trends of this spring season is off-the-shoulder tops. I am obsessed with this trend and think showing a little shoulder is the perfect way to grab someones attention. This top is very bright and colorful, so I decided to pair it with some simple white cutoffs and tan wedge heels. I think since the shorts are shorter wearing the heels elongates my legs and dresses the look up a bit. As always you can shop this look via Impressions Boutique.

Motivation Monday

Reagan Wray

Monday's tend to be most peoples least favorite day of the week because it's back to work and the real world. I am a night owl myself, so waking up for class on Monday is pretty much my least favorite thing to do... I have learned throughout the years that Monday's might not be glamorous, but it's the most important day of the week. Having a good, fresh start to the week is very important. For this weeks blog I decided to showcase some of my favorite morning habits which include donuts, coffee and my precious cat Cesar. So head on over to my gallary page, Confidently Beautiful, to get an inside look on how I have a good morning and start my day off right.

Relationships...

Reagan Wray

Throughout the years I have gone through numerous amounts of breakups and countless heartaches. Are parents always tell us "You will find someone who deserves you" or "You were too good for him", but are we really listening to what they are saying? My past relationships were volatile, mostly because I was young and immature and tried to plan out every little detail of our relationship. Now that I have grown up a little bit, and have had my single fun days, as well as long term relationships, I figured out the three key ingredients to having a successful partnership.

The three key ingredients to a healthy and happy relationship are TRUST, COMPROMISE and COMPASSION. Trust, which I think is the biggest thing to have in a relationship with anyone, not just your significant other. Trust means you don't have the need to look through his phone and creep on his Instagram because you're afraid of seeing him do something wrong. That is pointless and not going to get you anywhere ladies. Because if you are already thinking those thoughts, then you are probably with the wrong person. When you fully trust someone you don't worry about who they are "snapping" or "texting". You should know that you are their main priority.

As for compromise, that is a big thing I had to work on. It took me a long time to finally figure this one out and I am still working out it to this day. Compromise is letting your boyfriend sit and play "Fifa" or "Call of Duty" for 6 hours straight without complaining about wanting to do something else. Because you allowing him to do something he wants to do, will make him want to return the favor (HELLO SHOPPING SPREE AND SPA DAY LADIES). Compromise is deciding on a movie together. It might to be the one you really wanted to see, but you'd be surprised by getting out of your comfort zone you might enjoy his choice more!

Compassion is the most difficult for some, because often times we put our needs and ourselves first, when in all actuality we should be putting others first. When your boyfriend is going through a hard time and needs some support the best thing you can do is listen to everything he says and just soak it all in. Being patient in times like these is whats going to make your relationship 10 times better.

Keep in mind I am only 21 years old, but I have also had three long-term relationships all that have been a flop, but that I have definitely learned from. Growing up isn't easy, and neither are relationships, they are hard work. What you have to ask yourself is "is this worth it?".

Be My Valentine

Reagan Wray

Hello fellow fashion enthusiasts, I'm back! After taking a short break from the blogosphere I am back in full force with tons of new ideas. I figured a good "back to blog" post would be a cute/festive date-night outfit for Valentines Day.

I know some of you reading this are thinking "I'm single and spending this Valentine's Day with my cat binge watching Netflix documentaries and eating pizza", well don't worry that was definitely me just about every year. Even if I didn't have a Valentine or secret admirer I always tried to celebrate the holiday, because why not give yourself chocolate and doll yourself up for a night?! That's why this look is good for any V-Day occasion. Whether it's a "Galentines" day with your besties, or date-night with your main squeeze, simply adding a pair of heels and this funky jacket makes all the difference.

Enjoy the rest of these fun photos taken by my awesome photog friend Kristen Grisham!

Sweater Weather

Reagan Wray

This week I paired up with the clothing company Chic Wish. Chic Wish is a trendy online boutique that has great clothes for a great price. Chic Wish sent me two very basic sweaters that will be all the rage this fall.

The first look features a lace up over-sized tan sweater that I paired with simple light wash boyfriend jeans and nude heels. I love this sweater because it is easy to dress up or dress down. I went back and forth with how to style this look, but I think the easy fit jeans and simple heels make the look effortless.

The second look is a little more grungy, featuring Chic Wish's off-the-shoulder grey knit sweater. I paired this top with dark blue high-waisted skinny jeans, stretch ankle boots, a black western belt and leather wrap necklace.

If you are looking to purchase anything from this post head on over to my "shop" page at the top of my website and get all of my outfit details.

Dead Swanky: Game Day Glam

Reagan Wray

This week I was lucky enough to meet the talented Hannah Simpson who is the newest member at Dead Swanky salon in Fayetteville Arkansas. I absolutely love walking into this salon because everyone is so welcoming, and did I mention it's COMPLETELY GORGEOUS. The whole salon is a total dream, I wish I could go there everyday and get dolled up!

For the blog this week I wanted to showcase a makeup look that I would rock to a football tailgate. I usually dress pretty comfortable for football games, but I always want my hair and makeup to be on fleek! And with Hannah working at Dead Swanky now, she made all of my makeup dreams come true.

We went with a sort of dramatic eye that would really make a simple outfit pop! My favorite part of the look would either have to be the AMAZING winged liner, that could literally cut someone it looked so sharp, or the ombre gold glitter lip. Hannah really made everything look so easy and effortless and it was such a blast getting to know her. One thing I throughly enjoyed about getting my makeup done by Hannah was the fact that she described how she was doing my makeup, and why it was important to use the products a certain way. So next time when I am applying makeup at home I will know what to do!

Also, I am really excited to announce that Dead Swanky will be doing a giveaway this weekend as well. For everyone that wears a "Dead Swanky Loves The Hogs" sticker and posts it to Instagram with the hashtags #deadswanky and #walkthiswray you will be entered into win a fabulous gift set of Kerastase products that is valued at $500. Also, you can be entered into win the gift set if you rate/review the salon through Facebook, Yelp or Google. Pretty simple concept to win such an amazing prize!

All in all I had such a fabulous time getting my makeup done at Dead Swanky and I would highly suggest Hannah Simpson for an occasion. You can book your appointment through Dead Swanky's website, look up their offered services, and even see a salon tour!

Below I have listed the products that Hannah used in my makeup look today!

My First Commercial

Reagan Wray

Since I was a little girl I always loved to perform. I would go out on my back deck and sing songs for my parents, act out scenes from my favorite movies, and dance until I couldn't dance anymore. Throughout my entire life I was always apart of the drama club and choir program at my school. My dream was to make it big as a signer or actress, but of course this is a pretty impossible dream to accomplish. In no way, shape, or form am I saying I am an actress, but when Lauren asked me to be the lead role in her company's very first commercial I was speechless. Not only was it a life long dream of mine to act, but getting to do it for a company like LJ made it so much better.

Lauren James motto for the commercial was "From the everyday to the once in a lifetime" and this commercial totally embodies that. In the commercial you see my packing up my bag to move away because I was offered my dream job in a different state. While packing my fabulous LJ clothes you see flashbacks of me wearing the outfits.

You see the outfit that I met my fiancé in at our tailgate party, as well as the red dress which was the night we fell in love. As I am headed over to grab my plain ticket and job offer statement you see me start to tear up because I am remembering my conversation with my fiancé about having to move. Obviously he is heartbroken and doesn't want me to go, but at the end of our fight he kisses me goodbye because he realizes that it is my dream job and I have to take it.

As I am leaving my house I look back and recall all my amazing memories. Of course to my surprise, when I am throwing my bag in my car I see my fiancé waiting for me. He has his bags packed and has decided to come with me. In the end he proposes and we live happily ever after (which of course is every girls dream am I right?). Working with everyone at Lauren James for this commercial was a dream come true, and they made every part of the shoot so enjoyable. Lauren James isn't just a company in my eyes, we are family and I am so blessed to have them in my life. Below I have attached links to the items I wore in the commercial. Until next time.....

Boyfriend's Style

Reagan Wray

One of my favorite looks to recreate is the sort of "I just stole these clothes from my boyfriend's closet" type of outfit. The "boyfriend fit" look is really in right now, so I thought I would showcase a look that is effortless, but also something you can dress up. Both the classic button up and baggy light-wash jeans are from Zara, and the simple black Steve Madden heels are from Dillard's. Although this look can be a little tricky for some body types, considering it is already sort of ill fitting, I find the look to be extremely high fashion and on trend.

Rocker Chic

Reagan Wray

For today's look I decided to channel my inner Gun's and Roses and go for a rocker chic look. I recently bought these Vince Camuto stretch ankle boots and have basically worn them everyday since then. These boots are EXTREMELY comfortable and easy to walk in, which is the main reason I love them. Plus, they're black so they can go with virtually anything in my closet. I paired these cutie booties with some high waisted light-wash jean shorts, a black western belt, and long-sleeve black body suit. Although the outfit is a little plain because it is mostly black, I think the fun fringy satchel gives it some flare. You can easily shop this look using this link http://liketk.it/2pbT5 or head on over to my shop page to see all of the outfit details.
